Imua Maui Relief

Imua Maui Relief Fund

In the wake of the wildfires ravaging the island of Maui, the Imua Maui Relief Fund is set up to benefit the children and families of those affected by the recent wildfires on the island of Maui. The fund is managed by Imua Family Services, home of the Will Smith Imua Discovery Garden, which continues to share the same love and compassion that was exemplified by young Will Naylor Smith, whose life was cut short not far from the devastated town of Lahaina.

With a history of over 75 years serving Maui, Imua Family Services understands that Maui's recovery from the recent wildfire disaster will be a marathon rather than a sprint. As a long-serving non-profit on the island, Imua knows better than most that the needs of children, families, and communities impacted by trauma and crisis will change over time. Imua is equipped to ensure that monies raised for relief directly benefit the local Maui community, and they are prepared to pivot and adjust as the community navigates through its road to recovery.

Imua Family Services’ mission is to “Empower children and their families to reach their full potential.” It works daily to ensure that the children and families in its care move forward, which is why the Hawaiian word “Imua,” meaning to move forward, is so prominent in its name. In the face of the current crisis, it is more important than ever to assist children and families in forging ahead through devastation, loss, and adversity. Through the combined love, kindness, and giving spirit of those like you and our beloved Will, we shall assist in propelling Maui on its road to recovery.
